also Xie Lian really is the best warden and Gonou is willing to fight anyone who says differently
(xie lian rates gonou extremely high in all categories but does have to admit that he was not for squishing. that is, number of factors meant not really hugging relationship)
(Gonou is not very huggy. But he occasionally leaned on Xie Lian, which is a similar high mark of favor and intimacy!)
Gonou ranks very high on Idia's Positive Opinion list, which is an accomplishment of incredible proportions.
