I wish other journals would follow. It’s going to take a lot to hurt Elsevier.

I don't know how much it is now, but a high prestige Elsevier Journal, where I published most of my work, was 14K a year 20 years ago!

HyperFugue: when I left the database we subscribed to was close to 25K a year or more.
