Mom and friend had some trouble, bc it turns out they'd misread the yarn size, so they had to compensate by doubling up the yarn, consequently Mom struggled with her tension at first
and especially while casting on - she cast on way too tight and wasn't happy with it
so this morning, Mom takes out the work she's done and lays it out on the card table to show me what she means about the tension and discuss it through -
Mom's telling me all the problems she finds in her blanket
leaps over the end of the bed
Chestnut: SQUISHES HIS PAWS IN
Chestnut: I think it's PURRfect!
this is OBVIOUSLY for HIM
he is. he is very much The Kitty
Mom started laughing "I told [my friend] he was going to do this!" she said. "I said while we were working on them last night, that as soon as I laid the work out..."
Me: Take a picture to send to her!
I do not have that picture
but I do have one of later in the day when Chestnut again claimed the now pulled apart and reknitted blanket
(I validated Mom's decision to pull the blanket apart and rework it - she really wouldn't have been happy with that cast on as tight as it was)
(the annoyed ears in that second one are because Mikey was trying to bounce at him from the end of the bed)
you should have seen him FLEX his paws
all OOOOOOOOOOH YES THIS IS THE GOODSTUFF
An Eliza challenger approaches!
