UPDATE: I have an interview later today, hopefully it goes well, but even if hired this second I won't see a check for 1-3 weeks depending on pay-periods and paydays, still freaking out. The Reddit subs require an established account/karma and I never really used Reddit so I don't qualify... just. all over panicking and hoping to get through this interview

Interview went good! Pending the background check, I should get this job! Just gotta wait for that now, was told it'll be 5-7 days but! Finally some decent news!

I'm gonna bump again because we have a 3 day grace period on our rent and we're still extremely short. The new job is pending but should be a sure thing, but it'll take a few days to land and the check will be at least a week after that- we wont make rent.

I'm on a miniscule fixed income unfortunately, but I would absolutely say talk to your landlord. they don't want to do eviction paperwork, lose a month of rent pay, or pay to flip your apartment for the next guy either

if you can pay part of it, especially if you offer to do it by money order, they are likely to work with you

I would call your car loan company also

it costs all of these folks money to do paperwork and/or start collections and companies will very likely work with you if you ask

KabochaKitsune: i'll try calling, but both rent and car payments have been short and/or late quite a few times unfortunately. we've been hit with a lot lately, and we haven't always been able to scrap together bill money, but i'll reach out. the property manager hasn't returned any calls or emails all week, but we're planning to go down in person today

it's all been pretty overwhelming, but i'm gonna try pleading with them at least for the car and rent because we need transportation for work and kids' school and obv need somewhere to live, i'm just so tired of groveling and begging and struggling, life shouldn't be this hard jfc

Got ahold of the car loan people, they won't give a full extension but instead of paying the full amount they're letting us do a smaller one this month and a bigger one next month- which is great, but we're still $150 short for it. Tomorrow's rent, and we're about the same short for it still too. We're gonna just give em what we do have and hope we don't get
