I missed the ceremony but am so happy to know he knows that he and the others are appreciated.

He's doing well. He doesn't like being the center of attention, but he's also determined to make sure the incidents of that day aren't forgotten.

He hasn't said whether he's still receiving death threats, and I've been reluctant to pry too deeply.

People are the worst. I'm sure it's uncomfortable to be the center of attention, especially for this particular event. I hope he has peace in his life, away from the madness.

I hope that even if he's experiencing negativity from that branch of humanity that can't express anything else, he nonetheless feels supported by the rest of us. We're glad he was there defending the capitol and everyone in it, and we're glad he wasn't more seriously hurt.
