Joey will be badly spraining his ankle on the ice path, so he'll be in a super boot during festivities. If plans come together with enough notice he'll have presents for everybody, but otherwise it'll probably just be Ryou he gets stuff for since he still has no idea Atem's here and Marik and Kaiba are both more acquaintances than part of "the gang".

Fuchsia and Cinnabar! But unless there's events that end up there it'll probably be spring before he gets around to them.

For Saturnalia it takes place from the 17th to the 24th and is followed immediately by the birthday of the Sun God Sol Invictus on the 25th, so there's a lot of festivity to be had during that time. Though normally it would be cityeide gift-giving and merrimemt I think Lucius will just awkwardly give some presents to his coworkers and call it a day.

Or if Ryan bullies him into it while it's still cold, but they'll probably be mostly sticking with central Kanto for the next little while

Not having anyone who really knows of Saturnalia and, with a toga being akin to a Halloween costume in most modern eyes, he'd be very self-conscious about doing stuff for it by himself. He'll still walk the streets of Ecruteak the night of the 17th and ring out "Io Saturnalia!" to start the season off right though.

thlayli: That's about when Joey's hoping to start his Gym Run. I still need to run the numbers on how long it'll take him to get through Kanto, but he's on a bike now so short of snowstorms he'll be setting a decent pace.

If the timings work out maybe Joey could do some of that with Min and Ryan. I think they're gonna be more focused on their band by then than the gyms so I don't know if they're going to do a dedicated run, but they might be in the same areas some of the time!

thlayli: I think Joey will be starting his Gym Run mid-March, so it should still be plenty cold by the time he's doing his running around. There's a lot of gyms though, and he's got a lot of places to visit so they could definitely be fighting in the same places.

kharamagic: There's a lot of cool games and traditions with Saturnalia too, so he'd love to have people to celebrate with. I don't think there's an organic way for him to have people to do it with this year, but I hope having him better settled-in next year means an opportunity to throw festivities with proper pomp.

Hm...well, in most games people usually discuss their worlds' holiday traditions on the network in December, he could join in? and maybe interest people?

Yeah, if he mentions it on the Network he'll probably get some interest!
