I don't believe so! I think as long as you abide by the level/pokémon types you can win you're probably good.

I think I'll figure out some kind of dice roll average for Joey to hit the slot machines. Says there's a variety of different machines for gambling there as well as some arcade games, so I think Joey would be hitting pachinko if at all possible.

Time for him to gain and lose several small fortunes in a couple of days' time.

I'm thinking he'll earn a Dratini through there, but that'll be his big stroke of luck for the next while. Most of what he's doing is just getting enough scratch to get food and lodgings while he's going around gathering warp pads.

Sure! Joey's working odd jobs and betting for most of the time he's there. He'll end up with a trip out of town taking him halfway across the region before ending up back in Goldenrod again thanks to the 4th Wall event, which'll give him the chance to interact with people's areas.

Joey was in the Ilex Forest during the snowstorm, so he went in when it was just cold and came out into a full-on winter wonderland. Considering it was pretty much mid-summer back in Domino when he was pulled in here cold weather wasn't something he was ready for. Spending the week in Goldenrod will give him the chance to gear up better for the winter.
