I'm disappointed that more people aren't deleting accounts and/or refusing to link to anything on Twitter anymore.

it is sad to see it go, though. Even if Twitter wasn't perfect, it at least was at all useful to, y'know, people without actual accounts. And I'm pretty sure the rise of Twitter as a news source is directly responsible for mainstream news media abruptly no longer primarily talking about the Internet in terms of sexual predators pretending to be children.

I'm not deleting my account on the off chance of a save, but I'm also not even checking it as infrequently as I used to. Idle accounts are hardly better than deactivated ones - neither provides ad revenue. And I do have it linked to a separate service, so I need to migrate that first, too.

I think the only thing I've checked on Twitter in the last week is Minecraft auth server status. Because somehow that's the _only_ place they post status updates.
