This has been kind of an unofficial stance but I'll be making it formal in the posts' rules (and on the mod contact).

All mod responses have always been and will almost universally be public.

If I have to thwap someone for a rule break, it will be posted under the rule break. Sometimes I'll be willing to screen the individual post at the player's request, if they're politely reposting, but my preference is to leave at least my post unscreened.

This has always been the case. No one is exempt.

About 99% of any PM conversations have been someone PMing me first. If the discussion has stayed polite, it usually ends there. If the person gets a little tetchy, it'll be capped and posted in the comments of the mod posts for the sake of transparency.

Again, as it always has been.

The only times I've PMed someone privately was if it was a mod that seemed new to modding that maybe needed some gentle direction on the meme format or where to post something.

That's because those instances are often just some kind of misspost or misplacement rather than a rule break.

Since this was an issue with someone, I'm making it very clear here and pointing out that is always how it's been and how it always will be. It will now be overtly put on the emp posts as well.

Thanks for all you do. Sorry you had to deal with a thorny issue. You really contribute a lot to this community and we're lucky to have you.

This also goes for any instances of something that's borderline.

If something is sort of rude but I'm not going to formally give them a ding, and I have to ask to repost, again, it will be public

For real, thank you for keeping this up every month and letting folks know updates. And thank you also for this clarity and transparency. I didn't even know this was a thing going on but hopefully you won't have any further issues of this nature going forward

Anyway I just wanted to highlight this and note that instead of it just being the informal way I handle dinging people, it'll be written out. I might just do it on the mod contact and note it with a link on the meme itself.

np guys like 99% of the people I talk to in rp on a regular basis (both anon like this and logged in under my real handle) are very chill and nice so I'm glad to do it for everyone
