I also kind of grew up with no expectation of being straight, since my godfather was solidly and openly gay and so not-straight was just as normal as straight to me.

The gender thing took me much longer to figure out even after Ranma 1/2.

It's also the thing I'm less.... out about. My family and my close friends know, but I'm not as open about it publicly as my sexuality.
