I do not have much experience with going to concerts, and the ones I did go to (that were concerts and not music fest style) were GA and it was 'get there as early as physically possible'
those, of course were also concerts in small venues and this venue is huge
Still try to leave early; traffic is likely going to be INSANE.
For unassigned standing concerts, I've always aimed to be there an hour early, though I've had luck with half an hour
Idk about assigned seating though. I've only done that once and idr how early i was, and it was a smallish club. Might be worth looking into the venue or giving them a call.
okay, then I should probably leave soonish
Okay did not leave when intended but I thought it was two hour drive and it's 1h20 so I'm okay I think.
If The Hu are the first band wonder if I should stay for the others? Five finger death punch, megadeath, fire from the gods
depends if you like them, how much time you have/how early you have to be up the next day?
...with that lineup, I'd stay, myself. tastes may vary, though.
same! i don't get to live shows that often either, so i stay for the experience too
Here's where I admit that I have never heard songs by any of the other bands that I knew was by them. My musical tastes are super eclectic and I tend to only look up "who played that song I liked" if it's happy brain music
Fire from the Gods is pretty good so far though. HU IS ON NEXT I CAN'T WAIT
It was so great. But I definitely rocked too much. Do I stay or do I go?
oh, that's a good song too!
I mean-
Hahaha. I think I might head out to merch and food because megadeath really loves their strobes
Other than the strobes Megadeath was nice. Lead singer seems like a really kind dude and I liked their video screens having thank you in a whole bunch of different languages
But their set was almost an hour so giving a few minutes to change up the stage... an hour set an hour 20 drive... hmmm I should plan to leave before the set finishes if I want to get home before midnight
Because it'll probably be hell to get out if everybody else is leaving at the same time
Woo-hu! Glad you had a good time.
