I got time to find a new provider and get quotes, so thought I'd ask around and see what other people were using
ew I also have geico and want out
yeah, you start talking about jacking up my 6 month premium by 200 for no reason other than "inflation" and I'm gonna kick you to the curb
probably won't follow up on too much beyond nabbing some quotes until after I move (moving around 10/25-ish and renewal isn't until thanksgiving time), but SIGH
I have an anti-rec, lmao. I used to have nationwide (again, cause the parents had that) and it functioned fine but it was suuuchhh a pain in the ass to accomplish anything. (This was mid 00s to mid 2010s.)
anti recs are good too lol
I had to go through this terrible agent named Agnes who went by 'Missy' and they ad my middle initial wrong for YEARS and an email on file that didn't exist and no matter how many times I called her it didn't get fixed
So I'd have to call like the actual main call center
IM SURE ITS LIKE ONLINE NOW BUT MAN
Also just try to imagine the personality of someone who chooses to professionally be called Missy
oh I'm imagining it and it's splendid(ly awful)
She was like someone who wanted to be a manic real estate agent but instead ended up as an insurance agent in rural tennessee
It's 2022 so I can't imagine they still have you go through your personal local agent anymore but I was so annoyed
I would hope not, I don't think I've ever had a personal agent in all my time with Geico
Maybe it's just an archaic rural Tennessee thing
Like TNs unemployment website having hours of operation
there's a lot of federal sites that have them too, I think my brother encountered them when dealing with disability and setting up insurance and stuff lol
God what an unnecessary barrier to access
or maybe it was a texas benefits site? I'm not sure anymore
it was some bullshit during that whole mess of him trying to get it
My parents have used liberty mutual since before I was born but idk
I feel like that's about how long my parents have been with geico
state farm was useful to me both times someone fucking rear-ended me
that is excellent to know
they've been good in every instance i've needed to use them
I’ve got AAA and outside of the usual roadside assistance I can’t really term you how they are because I have not dealt with anything significant
we USED TO have Geico too once upon a time and they wound up being pretty useless and overpriced in the longrun so we dropped ‘em
