General update: no water at all in house until sometime next week, having to go back and forth to old house to do anything with water. :-(

This is a nightmare.

But at least for a major construction project, it seems to be going quite quickly.

Trying to get caught up on some tags today, we'll see what happens. It's this combo plate of wanting escapism versus being so fucking tired and brain worn out from dealing with all of this.

I've basically been living in a constant stress-state since moving in, except for the time I was on mini-vacation.

Oh to be a tiny cat and just hide under a couch for a week and poop in a box.
Uggggh that’s so awful
ugh nooo
I hope it's over with soon ;__;

Digging is done, which is good, and faster than they thought. Even the diggers were like “man your pipe is messed up”

Plumbers MIGHT actually be starting tomorrow, which would be awesome

Still dealing with house stuff. Still unable to use any water in the house. Still a mess.

So, all it had to do was not rain over the weekend.

So the past two days they haven't been able to work at all.

There's a whole crew out today though doing stuff so I am REALLY REALLY HOPEFUL that that means that at least ONE toilet in the house will work by the end of the night.

They seemed to think initially that the work would take two full days, but that they should be able to get SOMETHING working on day 1, so I'm hopeful.

Then it's another few days for the diggers to come back out and fill the holes back IN, but during that time we're not really affected inside the house.

So this MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT be almost over.
Fingers crossed for you!

Everything SHOULD be all fixed now. So now all we have to do is kind of... clean up all of the inside places because they tracked mud everywhere (expected, it's been muddy) and the people have to get the dirt back in the holes.

Actually got to sleep in my actual bed last night, which was great.

Today is "get the last bit of stuff out of the old house" day, which will be intense this morning but then all we'll have to do is the cleaning and final walkthrough stuff and then we'll officially be in this house!

And hopefully things will stop sucking over here for five minutes and I can rest and get my life back together.

I literally collapsed yesterday midway through the day-- thought I was going to be sick and had a pounding headache. Called out the rest of the day at work and just passed out for 4-5 hours. >_>

But also, in all of this, I feel like I was a bit overdue for a total physical breakdown. Had already had one mental one, but not the like, physical stress-and-tired kind.

oh gosh. I'm not even surprised you had a bit of a physical breakdown. sometimes those are just needed. I hope you're feeling much better today. <3

Definitely feeling a LOT better after some rest FOR SURE.

Now just have to do the physical moving of the last stuff from the old house and then tomorrow will be cleaning that entire house day, but neither of those things are SUPER bad, just intense for a few hours and then I get to shower and rest, versus the just constant stress and pressure this has been.

Things are still dug up, but life in new house is starting.

Still have hopefully only one more day of cleaning at the old house today and then I'm DONE with that part and can start setting up the new house.

HOPEFULLY that means tags today. I keep getting these headaches out of nowhere, likely from deferred stress and dehydration but we're working on both. :-D
