16) most people who she believes are smarter than her. With physical ability it's less of a concern, she has to be able to deal with being less good with people there, but she's got a biiig old chip on her shoulder when it comes to academics/book smarts

24) (cw rape/etc) honestly... I think on the one hand, Darcy has that Kid Thing where you imagine in great detail how you'd stop a would-be attacker. But on the other hand, she was also. murdered by some random dude without the ability to fight back. I think she thinks she'd be stronger/more able this time, but the fear of helplessness is still there

31) in some places, but not others. the heights of her self confidence is linked pretty closely to her talents, but the lowest parts are tied to her internal self-worth and guilt. She's internalized a lot of shame about parts of her life that she had no control over. but how much that affects her day-to-day depends
