We ran into the "our GM is dying and the other GM isn't here" problem. So I decided to go ahead and run a Cyberpunk Red game that can serve as a backup.
Problem is, while there's plenty to like about CPR, the economy is garbage for playing anything not set in the "Time of the Red", aka the vaguely post-apocalyptic setting they (for some reason) chose for the new edition of the game.
So I just ripped that system straight out and went ahead with converting all the weapons from 2020 over to Red in a way that was far better and less stupid than the half-assed way they've decided to do their conversions and specific weapons.
Don't get me started on their "exotics". They spent a rather large paragraph explaining that a flamethrower was technically a shotgun but not really, instead of, y'know, just statting a flamethrower.
But yes. Now the conversion doc is started, and I'm actually almost finished. Need to add sniper rifles, since 2020's core didn't include them at all, aside from a single 20mm antimateriel rifle, and a handful of other things like grenades (I always forget grenades).
