[Transformers] This is an overarching headcanon... But I can't be the only one that thinks the Transformers pack bond with anything and everything.
they certainly do
Like.. I'm not far into the canons but its seems like a normal outcome for a species that disguises itself. It would HAVE to as a species bond to those around them to survive.

They're also computers. They thrive on networks and sharing information, and keeping close to a particular group - or even being part of a group - sustains them.
Which is probably why there are so many teams in Transformers. That's how they pack bond when the only option they have is war
that's so TRAGIC ...
Combiners are the ultimate expression of this: it takes incredible trust and closeness to be part of each other and not even in a romantic context.
