So back on my first listen through of the album I created a list of one word/idea impressions of the songs. The word/idea could be about vibe, sound, the lyrics I caught in the first listen. Just my gut response to each song.

Music for a Sushi Restaurant - still weird and silly; eventually I'll be able to listen to it without laughing; it really is a bouncy, happy little jam of a song that puts a smile on my face

Late Night Talking - I can't help singing along to this song; I can easily relate to this song

Grapejuice - I enjoy that he could have just titled Wine but he didn't go for the obvious choice; I really enjoy the music

As It Was - Still very gender but now that I can really understand the lyrics, it hurts

Daylight - Another bouncy song that has bittersweet lyrics; it screams of long distance relationships and ruing time differences

Little Freak - It still screams "Me!" but it is less about freak/Jezebel and more about a complicated relationship with gender; every time it comes up on shuffle I have to pause and take it in; sometimes I tear up; probably my favorite song on the album

Matilda - "Ouch!" is still accurate; complicated relationships with bio family that treats you poorly for whatever reason and finding a chosen family who treats you right; struggling alone; I get goosebumps every time I listen to it and tears aren't uncommon

Cinema - I have a complicated relationship with this song; it gives me whiplash every time I listen to the album straight through; like "Fine Line" and "Sign of the Times" it feels like it never ends/could have been trimmed down in length; until the last minute of the song it is a fun bop though

Daydreaming - it is a fun little groovy song; I can easily imagine a lot of choreography to it; I could easily see it being a great karaoke song

Keep Driving - A great metaphor for a long term relationship and checking in with your partner; I want to give Harry and the other writers a speaking to about the "Choke her" lyric though

Satellite - I can see this playing during a scene in a romantic comedy; I still want to spin/dance in the rain to this song; I like that it models giving each other space in a relationship to figure things out instead of smothering your partner

Boyfriends - I NEED an a cappella cover of this YESTERDAY! Hello home lyric and naturally Louis registered a song titled "Halfway Home" because of course; I kind of want to dance to this

Love Of My Life - I don't really have big thoughts on this song; it is good and I like it; I'd love to hear it in a setting where I could feel the bass as well as hear it
