Possibly. It sounds like they will shift it back to being a state by state issue, so abortion will become illegal in some states, legal in others, restricted to the pint of unavailable in others, basically a hodgepodge
Nothing has actually happened. A draft decision, which appears to be genuine, was leaked from the Supreme Court. If it goes as written, it will be as Weniki said.
If overturned, it appears only 22 of 50 states will still allow abortions. Other than the East and West coasts it looks like they will be accessible in only Illinois and Minnesota.
I'm pretty sure WI will flip because both houses are overwhelmingly red. We do have a Dem governor but the legislature stripped or weakened a lot of that power in a lame duck session after he was elected. I'm not sure just what he can veto. They may have enough to overturn it anyway.
The even scarier part - NPR was talking this morning about the fear that some states might consider not allowing pregnant women to leave the state for fear that they might get an abortion.
Its going to get scary with future cases in which the "strict constitutionalists" on the Court start to claim that the right to stop abortion is protected by the constitution.
