sorry i know i've been flaky and slow and bad, the tl'dr is wife has some (not serious!) health issues that are Dragging On because a doctor screwed up
which honestly, don't care, but because there was a screw up the doctors are all in CYA mode which means getting useful information is like pulling teeth
so that's using up 50-75% of my processing cycles at any given moment
<3 god even transient encounters with doctors who're fully cooperative is such a drain
