especially when the first kill is his partner, who is literally called "Dante's partner" (of course his name is Dante) in the captions because she never gets her own damn name before she dies

none of this is spoilers, we all know going in that all these kids are cannon fodder, i'm not even quite sure yet who the main character is supposed to be

"I was supposed to die in the school that day. Death followed me here." No babe, wrong franchise

anyway, without spoilers, that was highly enjoyable and i would happily, and probably will, watch it again

lol okay now i'm watching a 2015 movie called No Escape which a) is about a white family getting caught up in a "violent coup" in, and this is a direct quote of the blurb, "Southeast Asia," this is gonna be so fuckin racist and i'm very excited for it 2) features fresh new MCU kids Owen Wilson and Lake Bell (voice of Nat in What If)

the MCU is simply taking over everything and that's the way it's going to be

soon you wan't be able to watch anything that doesn't have at least one MCU actor in it

it also has Pierce Brosnan, who a friend of mine used as a PB for Howard Stark so perfectly that i continue to be disappointed in Marvel for not actually casting him, so fuck it we're counting him too

they're really going out of their way to avoid naming this country, which, okay, common enough storytelling technique esp for this kind of story, but i am uneasy with the fact that they're leaning real hard on the "all of Asia is the same basically" stereotype to do it

also why did/does Owen WIlson have a rep for just being some doofus with no real acting chops, because /gestures at this movie and also Loki/ wtf
