/stares out the window at heavy snow and vicious wind/ anyway fedex says i'm getting a package today oh thank god, now it's "delivery status" pending
EDIT: in other news, i'm watching a k-drama on netflix called We Are All Dead, which is about a zombie outbreak at a high school in what i assume is South Korea, and it's kind of great so far
i. hope this is not true, for the driver's sake
like, it's food, but they insulate it and pack it with plenty of dry ice. it can wait
an excellent point made by one character: "what are they doing at school? they should be in the movies"
i am bad at faces and i use hairstyles/colors and outfits to tell people apart until i'm able to remember what they look like, but the kids all have black hair and are in school uniforms so i'm struggling there. one of them looks a little like john cho and that's about all i've got
the cops are exactly as useful as you'd expect. acab
so this particular outbreak was born of a scientist trying to create a way for his son to turn fear into rage and be rid of his bullies. in other words, born of love. that's way more interesting than some generic lab accident, i like it
also to drive the metaphor home we get to see some clips of mice flipping their shit and attacking the cats toying with them and the cats then freaking out and running away. fucking excellent
these zombies are amazing; they will break their own bodies to get to their prey and they heal real fast, so you can hear the bones and crunching and breaking and then crunching back together. so gross
they are extremely hard to kill and they RUN. no shambling and easy shots to the head here
excellent, the previously-established archery team has returned from a meet (with the asshole coach shaming one girl in front of the others so we know she'll be instrumental at some point) so now the humans have a fighting chance. (i said no easy shots)
we're already playing with the rules about how long it takes someone to turn, but i'll chalk it up to individual reactions to the virus, you know like in real life, so it's fine
these kids are resourceful as fuck, they took a door and a couple windows down and are using them to just push the zombies back. it's not sustainable, but it's fucking smart
not-john cho is also prepared to kick the shit out of zombies as necessary, i love it
maybe it's because i was bullied, but i feel like there must be some dark satisfaction in getting to fuck up your former schoolmates
"This is so annoying!" lol i'm not one hundred percent sure about these translations y'all
nice, they didn't even wait for the next episode for archery girl to save someone's ass
lead female character's best friend turns and it's fucking heartbreaking
the emergency services email would like me to know that there is some weather happening right now
kid takes the arm off an anatomy model to help him reach a thing instead of diving out intot he zombie crowd for it. SMART
meanwhile a student elsewhere gives birth in the fucking bathroom
wait i think it's some kind of flashback
okay it was not a flashback, she was just somewhere else. and she left the baby carefully and safely wrapped up for the next person to find, but the zombies have spilled off the school grounds and she ran back for it as soon as she saw them
not sure about the advisability of running around with a newborn during the zombie apocalypse, but i was afraid they were going to make her out to be an asshole for getting pregnant as a teenager and then abandoning the baby because of the social stigma, so i'll take it
looool this exchange as the kids try to use social media to find help: "Check Facebook!" "I'm on Instagram." "How many followers do you have?" "Check Facebook."
heh, they have very tidily solved the problem of keeping our main group isolated by required one of the kids to throw the computer tower at a zombie to get rid of it
they all climbed down a rope to the window earlier and one of the zombies figured out the whole rope thing
new mom gets bit finding a safe place, but she does find one, and as she's turning she fucking ties herself up so she won't hurt the baby once she's fully turned
she would have been a good mom
how you can tell this is not set in america: it took until episode for a gun to be fired
the cops are not carrying guns, of course, so i just had a great time watching a dude trying to make a zombie stay down with just his lil cop baton. i don't think that was supposed to be funny, but it was HILARIOUS
omg a guy comes running downstairs, has a quick conversation with someone working to keep zombies at bay, then he pauses to look at the zombies and scream before going back upstairs. like he turns, looks back, screams, and runs
the way the scene plays out it's a like a bizarre conclusion to the discussion
a government taking a health crisis seriously and taking steps to deal with it, i am so jealous
