ugh. the storm might be dangerous by the time it hits Maine, or it might not; either way, i gotta make a judgment about calling out by like eight because i have to face problems that people who drive don't have to worry about

will it be safe to walk up (or later down) the steep hill to the bus stop if i take the bus? much less the half mile between work and the stop closest to it? if not, will it be bad enough to make it morally questionable (or actually safe) to call an Uber? how much of this can i even know by 8AM?

either way, the bus is not much of an option with the walks my commute includes, so it's down to whether it's too much for me to feel okay about getting an Uber

anyway i went to work, tipped my driver extra because the drive was a bit yikes and he handled it well (and said i was going to be his last ride for the day, which i hope was true) and everything was fine
