It's just kind of a "featured photo" type of thing. They pick whatever photos they like and put it on the explore page so people can find new flickr people to follow. It's nice, you should get a few extra views on your pic.

I'm kinda surprised just because it's SL. They weren't huge on our photos being on flickr for a while because we're not "real" pictures.
i've had 3 of my pictures explored in the past, all of them were weird things to have picked if it was a real person doing the picking. its just like randomly pulling from a hat i think.
aliciachenaux: maybe they have just accepted their fate also, so many of use are PRO now and paying for flickr, it has to be that our sector of flickr is generating revenue.
Well it definitely got it seen by people that would not normally see my pictures, lol. It also got invited to a UFO, paranormal, unexplained phenomenon group and that made me belly laugh as I said, ok that tracks, I am pretty unexplained, as I accepted the flickr group invitation
