Only time will tell for sure. The building inspector could potentially put everyone who lives here out of a home. I just want to see things get fixed and that is not happening. Some of this stuff was broken when I moved in two years ago! I will have lived here two years on December 3rd. I did find out ths the owner must give a with cause reason before...

...she can evict me and as far as I can tell she can not do that. The set of possible reasons is very short and very specific. I can not be evicted for complaining about broken things or complaining to agencies like the Code Enforcement department. I have not called for an inspection of our smoke detectors yet. One has been chirping for weeks.

Since ownership of this property is under an LLC, she HAS to supply a valid reason before she can evict me. She did not do that on her 60-day notice so she will have to either stop bothering me or start all over with a new 60-day notice that has a valid reason. I am pretty sure she can not do the latter. I have been talking to Legal Aid.

I have a few more cards in my hand to play. She does not understand whom she is dealing with because I have won against far better than her. However, there is always a possibility I might not win. If she gets court papers to evict me, we will go talk to a judge and many things she would rather not be known will be exposed.

I will wait to see what the building inspector says. There are many remodled things here that I am sure did not have permits or proper inspections . The last time I called the building inspector, the owners were told they had to put the house back into its original condition which I am sure was pretty expensive. I had the last laugh there.

If I want to play dirty, I could expose this place to the community. I know she is afraid of that happening because she does not want residents bringing food in from neighborhood sources. People tend to talk and things get exposed, whether intentionally or not. I really do not want to do any of this because it drives my stress and anxiety levels up.

This woman really is ignorent and that is going to bite her HARD. I just complained to her about a guy (the one who threw a punch at me) harassing me and she told me she does not want to get involved. She does not seem to understand that it is her LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY to take care of stuff like this. Now, I am wondering what planet she was born on.
