A very long process, to be sure. A lot of back and forth with the lawyer, the lab, etc.This isn't an easy process even when you have everything in place.

If you have a store, land, etc., I HIGHLY recommend preparing for the eventual transfer of your assets, and getting all your paperwork done in advance, though. I can't imagine trying to manage this without a clear, explicit will and a very competent, friendly next of kin.

I know you're probably very tired of the whole process, but when you've recovered would you mind letting us know all the things that need to be part of the paperwork?

NeoBokrug: First and foremost, include everything in the will. Every account name, every region name and parcel name. Don't assume that anything is "just known." This will be in part handled by legal folks who may. not be 100% in the know about things in Second Life.

Make sure you have a copy of the will you can turn into a PDF or other format that can be pasted in a support ticket. Have a scan of your ID for same. Be prepared to have a selfie if you holding your ID.

And the delay in my case was due to the testimony letter, just to make sure there wasn't anything/anyone contesting things.

In this case, the Lab person (mine was Dottie) will be doing back and forth with legal a lot, so make sure everything is okay from their end. once Legal says okay, the process goes very quick.

I was fortunate that I knew a bit of what was needed before all this, and helped Robin specify everything in the will. That helped a lot

And thanks all. Her marketplace store appears to now be up, but some of the URLs look to be acting funny. Everything else on the island is okay. I will be changing it over to autumn soon
