I've never been to New York. But remember 9/11. I was in the office, watching the news, the panic, the feeling of this being unreal. Realising there were coworkers in there, ppl I never met but who worked for the same global company. I cried watching it live & I cry every 9/11 https://images.plurk.com/4hxYz1rs4mHCLBmjt1SQ5M.jpg

My Mom died a month before 9/11, I was in the process of mourning already, this added to it. My, then BF (now husband) brother married in italy on 9/11 and we didnt attend because I could not get the days off (short notice and all that) and we spend days to get my husbands parents to get a flight back, while my sis was in labor and delivering her 2nd child.

I was at work. They told all of us we couldn't leave. I couldn't believe it. I can't imagine how the streets were at that time. I was Downtown and I hate the traffic in downtown. But my kids still mention the fact that I didn't come get them out of school early. ☹️

I don't think they understood what was happening, but other kids were leaving with their parents.
