The excuse "no one was home to collect your delivery so we sent it to the dispatch centre" has never been more transparent now that most people are working from home :/
More like "our driver stopped off at maccas instead of putting your address into his GPS so he never even tried to deliver your parcel" 
Or, " our driver rang the door bell then

yeah that ^ when both people in the house work from home, and both were definitely AT home, I'm sorry but "we tried and you weren't at home" doesn't fly. Did they stand 2 streets over and yell?
