I often observe my kitties and think "Are they happy? Do we look after them properly? Play with them enough? Feed them the right things? Love them enough? Do they love us back? What is it like to be a cat here?" And then I get a bit melancholy. https://i.gyazo.com/b0cc57af7b06fafc19890c0759f1fe4d.jpg
And I have to remind myself that Marsie loves to sleep under my chin at night, and Thor loves nothing more than to be rolled with the lint roller and goes a little bit loopy when I do that for him, and Loki tilts his head up and closes his eyes when I go to give him a little scritch and Cleo chirrups and trembles when I pet her and I think they are fine.
If it helps, I wonder that sometimes about my babies. I always wonder if I'm treating them well enough or if there's something more they need. But they're fat and playful and purr the moment they see us. I think they don't require too much to be happy.
I don't get people who think cats are aloof and anti social. These guys follow us everywhere. I currently have 4 carefree snoozing floofs all around my feet.
last night in our tiny gaming room (2 big computer console setups in the smallest bedroom in our house that is also a storage room) we had all 4 of them. Big house, all 6 of us crammed into the smallest room.
