I'd say it's a character-driven story, which is definitely one of my favorite genre. Though the writing was kind of confusing at first when introducing new characters, after a few paragraphs, I found myself falling for their unique characteristics.

Our protagonist, Neil, is definitely my favorite one. He may have been keeping a low-profile most of the time, there were also times he's willing to stand up for others, even those actions may have consequences. Such genuine and warm-hearted.
There are also darkness in this story, including violence, abuse, unhealthy relationship...etc. Not really liking them, but it definitely adds on to the story (in a good way?)
