Specifically I Do Not Trust how our attention has been drawn to them repeatedly (without necessarily marking them as plot-relevant), how they resemble birds and thus the... poison cloud beaks?, and how "the beaks are targeting high concentrations of children" could closely correlate with "the beaks are targeting high concentrations

of a trinket trendy among children."

In case this suspicion is correct, I also Do Not Trust how that one researcher has one. I don't remember whether Preeny still has hers, but I am Concerned.
