I have ben re-watching the show Ugly Betty and it's tough because I love the show so much ( it's one of my all-time faces) but it does not hold up well in terms of how it portrays diverse characters.
I think with shows like that you just have set things aside, enjoy it for what it is, and not judge it too harshly.
