it's interesting to find the little bits where they end up different

...some of it is definitely in that teen Loki's arrogance is a fairly flimsy bubble and he has a good sense of self-deprecation under

Julian's arrogance is decidedly sturdier

Loki laughs at everyone, Julian's sense of humour is almost always at other people's expense

also tbf Loki had his redemption arc in canon and Julian had... a very short one aborted by his death

so I get to play more with that if I want to without being stuck with canon

at the very least being in hell gives him a little more room to actually decide for himself what he is and what he wants to do
