Such a big portion of the fandom is built around taking sides between Dimitri and Edelgard, or even just ignoring one for the other

And that is so SO frustrating because they are characters with a great deal of depth between them both in the writing and that can be drawn from the game

The "norm" seems to be a fan vastly preferring one to the other, but I want to get into the JUICY CONTENT between them

right?

Not even wholly in a shipping way (tho thats fine too.......) but there is just so much potential for raw emotions and tension/healing. It's volatile and I don't want to be constrained by the canon
