Thank goodness she’s a tough little girl or I would have put myself in a position where I would need to work through her long, slow recovery. Now I just have some recovery needed.

I've messed up a character to the point where I had to drop them accidentally putting them through a bunch all at once.

If next month's event is difficult, Leslie will sit it out because I would feel like the worst human imaginable if I broke Leslie. But memshares are really good so I'll do these and play out the consequences.

She's been through worse, so she'll be fine, but also repeated problems are probably not to be a good thing to do for her.

She'll be fine! Maybe a few nightmares, but she does live with like 2-3 people who don't sleep at night (vampire, witch with a crush on a vampire, a witch who just doesn't sleep ever), so she won't be able to just suffer through them alone nearly as long as she does later in canon.

Good thing she likes the hug. Leslie hasn’t given many yet, but once she reached a certain comfort level with her adoptive mom back home after her canon point, whenever she doesn’t see her mom for a while, her first action is to just walk straight into her and reach as far as she can around her to cling briefly.

I eagerly await the moment when Leslie begins this in Æfenglōm. Especially since Edelgard will probably be the first victim.

Good! She actually hasn’t gotten a ton of hugs in Æfenglōm so she will be happily surprised.

Oops, my errands gave me time to consider whether Leslie will have nightmares after the memshare event and now I have an outline for what it will be like.

Though unless any further stuff I tag into dramatically ratchets up her stress, it will probably only happen once or twice, like a couple of days after the event and then maybe if she ends up feeling a bit stressed one day towards the end of the month, so it at least won’t turn into “oh no I can’t sleep better hide that so no one worries.”

(Also new chapter of her canon means new sad memory. In the light novel, when Leslie is falling into a canyon in the first chapter and thinks she’s about to die, she tries to think of a happy memory and the only one to come to mind was the first time she ate bread with jam and butter.)

(This chapter of the comic we learn that the servant who gave her bread and jam got fired for being nice to Leslie. I guess...at least one person...was ever at all kind to her before like a month pre-Aefenglom......)

Chapter 5 of Monster Duchess holds a special place in my heart, because it's the only time that Leslie goes full creepy child.

She has so much promise with the darkness powers and so much anger inside about the Sperados, but once she's not interacting with them she's much too fluffy to manage it.

It probably would have been worth the work to get rid of the text on the pictures of the scene since the visuals are great, but I was lazy.

It’s the one thing I regret about this being a “no canon powers” game, because almost everything her magic can do is at least a little creepy and some of it’s overpowered. But I’ll just save it up for if she ever has to deal with a jerk.
