demonrubberducky I might hit up Hector's inbox if you're interested as Leslie tearfully asks him if he knows about bugs, too.
Hector's inbox is always open.
(Also, unrelated to this, I'm going to have to figure out at some point who will want to see Leslie's memories alone or with Leslie along for the ride, as I forgot the latter was an option until recently. I might just ask people tagging into my open log to let me know what they prefer rather than tracking down the people who aren't on plurk.)
SHE KNOWS SHE'S MOSTLY SEEN YOU WITH FUZZY THINGS BUT YOU'RE THE ANIMAL MAN.
SHE MUST HAVE BEEN SUPPOSED TO POKE AIR HOLES SHE'S A MURDERER
Actually she'll probably have thought that far SHE MUST HAVE MADE THEM TOO SMALL SHE'S A MURDERER.
edelgard dimitri made her cry (no, receiving it actually made her happy)
(who could have known they last a single night?)
but then leslie would be the cause of the death of two things instead of just one
IT'S A REALLY CUTE THREAD and then I thought "wait. didn't it say these all die in the morning?" He suggested to let it go when the sun rises, but that's juuuust too late.
Reading Byleth and Edelgard's thread is helping me get a better idea of the house layout, and specifically that Leslie will want to put the tiny aloe vera plant she grew during the Mareuer gardening classes in one of the downstairs windows since her own bedroom doesn't have a window because vampirehouse.
She's very happy with her little insect lamp during the night, at least.
I'M SCREAMING AT THE MOST RECENT TRANSLATION IN LESLIE'S CANON.
Now that Leslie is legally the daughter of Duchess Salvatore, she's being taught about how to reject marriage proposals from unworthy men. She asked what a worthy man would have to be like and the men of the family responded with "they will have to be more [x] than me," where [x] is their strongest trait.
At the end, the duchess merely said, "Leslie, men...just have to be cute."
Her husband later asked her if she married him because he's cute, looking upset. She reassured him that she married him because of how cool he was and he got all excited. When he left and Leslie came in to the study, she asked if the duchess really married him because he's cute, to which the duchess replied, "that's right."
HE IS ABSOLUTELY SO CUTE but also he's a former mercenary who is like seven feet tall and three feet wide and has a big scar on his face, but he's putty with his wife and with Leslie.
I think I picked a good canon point for Leslie, but also there are some things that I'm so sad I'll never get to memshare with people.
I mean, fair. It's basically a delineation between good and evil in her canon. If you're good, you're putty with Leslie. If you're not putty with Leslie, you're almost certainly evil.
But he's especially putty because he's wanted to have a daughter to spoil since the duchess's first pregnancy. Their first son is named Bethrion, because they agreed on a girl's name and I'm not sure if he even thought about what would happen if their child was not a girl, so he ends up with the nickname Beth with his family.
He's had to be stopped from restructuring the house to give Leslie an entire floor of the mansion to all be her rooms.
A discovery when sorting through Leslie’s canon to prepare for memshare and writing up starters: the desk in Leslie’s room at the Sperado mansion doesn’t have a freaking chair.
I mean, I noticed this before. I thought it was an odd oversight, but I thought that maybe she brought something in from the attic storage when working.
But her flashback to being tutored at the desk (read: hit with a crop while being scolded) has nothing to indicate she’s sitting and in fact looks like she was standing.
I don’t know what to do with this information, because combined with the facts that she was regularly starved and worked for so long that she lost sleep, this just doesn’t seem possible.
I think I’m going to have to give her something to sit on in the memories, but just so people know, the memshares are probably things that I’m making less extreme than canon.
