There is turkey here tonight because I can’t do that to the hubby and kids.

I have prepared mixed dinners for vegetarians, vegans, and meat eaters. Not a problem for me, I used to eat meat and only gave that up about 8 years ago.

I learned last night I can either have turkey or a glass of wine. I can’t have both because of the arthritis.

Since my cancer surgery where my gallbladder was removed it was a good thing I gave up meats. I feel you on the arthritis. I use a home remedy that seems to help. Gin soaked golden raisins. The fermented juniper from the gin interacts with the sulfur dioxide used to make the golden raisins. I scoop out 9-11 raisins a day, drain off the gin, and consume.

This helps with the arthritis pain that comes with Crohn's. It helps others as well, I heard about it from a friend and have been doing this for 2 years now.

I abhor raisins though, but love gin.

one large box of golden raisins fits in a 1 quart canning jar, fill with gin. Gets to full strength in 5 days. I leave the leftover gin, add raisins, top off with gin for the next batch. Each lasts me about 2-2.5 months, very cost effective.

I love raisins and detest gin, but I do it every day for the pain relief.
