So we have two options for the next post

1. HALLOWEEN. It would have to be backdated, but would you like to have this mingle now even if it is half a month late? Description: [Mingle] Halloween sees a return of the cobwebs. And it sees every Numbered wake up with a carved pumpkin around their head, like a mask. They seem to be unable to take them off for the duration of the day.

2. [Mingle] Those Numbered whom the mice like will have the mice try to lead them somewhere. Where? That's to be discovered... This just so happens to coincidence with another wave of tiny sharks showing up everywhere. Some mice might need saving from tiny sharks. ...some tiny sharks might also need saving from mice.

... I'm intrigued by 2, myself.

(Walter would be relieved by 1 not happening, but I'd be fine with that log option as well.)

For the second post idea, for those who very did not befriend the mice, whether dur to dog shenanigans or other things, would involvement with the shark prompt be the best way to be involved?

The pumpkin prompt seems like either a thing they'd play off as a joke, a reason to call in sick, or something that would risk the numbered being secretive - if no one and nothing could remove the pumpkins, the wrong people noticing could have Consequences

Which is interesting, but would involve a lot more NPC activity with social fallout, so it feels like an idea like that would be better as a lead-in to a bigger event than a brief Halloween weirdness
