okay does/did anyone else have a stupid huge amount of trouble sending kittycats to the menagerie? like.... I can't afford the food costs any more lmao plus the LI is a lot (most of my food is stored in world)
I like the breeding aspect a lot but genetics is kinda too interesting to only have 120 days to breed a cat and figure out hidden traits? maybe it'd be fine if I was doing this every day or so but once a week, time FLIES
like how do you know which cats to keep from a breeding standpoint?

if I was inworld I would totally help.
as for finding all their hidden traits you have to have a pretty decent grasp of not only how their genetics works. which is actually much easier than you may expect. but also knowing what is recessive to what using the charts.
And the menagerie has it's own special storyline and it's really not a bad place for them at all. in the lore they sent back the tigers to let us know they were having fun and they meet other special critters.
also unless you are regular using the online cattery you can always sen your live cats there without food. and if you aren't breeding them turn the breeding off they will eat half as much food.
I have several cats in the online cattery with no food. they tell me they are hungry once in a while but they are safe there.

I teach a monthly class at CatTales on how to read the dominance charts and how to figure out what your cats are hiding. Just not November because my kids have their Home Swim Meet that weekend.
and I taught Corvi so I thrust her class and she will lead you in the right direction.
