I play the SQUIP which is from the Broadway version of the musical Be More Chill, which is. A very strange sci-fi "comedy" musical that ran from march to august and is ABOUT TO OPEN IN LONDON HELL YEAH YALL

in canon it's an AI inside a nanomachine inside a pill that is sold and handled a lot like a drugit's explicitly illegal and it's supposedly made to help you improve your life and reach all your goals! It manifests itself as like. a projection only you can see and hear, and guides you through social interactions and shit

it has a quantum processor it uses to see potential outcomes of your actions and it uses those to guide you to the "ideal" outcome. even if you disagree with it on what that might be.

honestly it's mostly a very controlling asshole that thinks any way that is not what IT tells you to do is Wrong. The SQUIP knows best. If you disobey, you're not gonna like how it reacts.

In VR it's just a shitty human tho, and it's very Upset about that fact. It's still intelligent and manipulative and controlling, but it doesn't have access to its bottomless databases on human behavior, or its quantum processor that helps it do... everything, but mostly predict potential futures

It's a Rocket, but it's not a loyal one or anything. It just woke up there and is kinda going along with the program until it figures out how to get outta here-- it thinks that everything it's going through is a simulation, like, maybe it's been hacked

So until it gets the wakeup call that this is real, it's gonna operate under that assumption
