loved the dynamics in this. they took characters from greek myth that were barely footnotes and made them feel like an actual dysfunctional family

circe is super relatable, despite the whole 'immortal goddess' thing

there's like this thing where characters are having a normal conversation and then someone says something fucked up that reminds you of the setting. happens a lot.

also interesting how they handled magic

more of a science. still pretty magical, but it's plant-based.
