Though I just realised they totally gloss over the fact Nuka died as well as Zira.

No one mentions Nuka at all.

My main gripe is that even though the gang and Kiara are supposed to be older they still look cubbish to me which throws me off. Kion looks a tiny bit older due to his mane starting to grow and his body looking slightly more bulkier - but mostly still cublike.

Meanwhile Kovu's got a full mane

and we're lead to believe they're around the same age when they first meer.

I say that's my main gripe but I lie it's actually not - it's more this BS power of the roar...it's very silly and I refuse to believe actual magic/avatar stuff exists beyond Mufasa in the clouds

which btw they kind decided "screw it" let's let THIS OTHER LION BE ABLE TO SEE HER DEAD RELATIVES IN THE CLOUDS TOO. I'm just very eeehhhh about it.

I go back and forth with this show a lot; it's got some fun stuff, and some "are you kidding me/this was definitely designed for a pre-schooler focus group" moments.

That song is not one of those moments.

That's a fun Just Can't Wait To Be King emulating moment. It's very charming and well put together.

The colors are also REALLY fun, and I love the orange blue contrast going on. There's lots of effort in there, and it looks good!
