Hello everyone, tomorrow is Mid-Autumn Festival in Taiwan. Traditionally, people will eat mooncake and pomelo to celebrate, but after a BBQ sauce brand advertised it’s BBQ sauce during Mid-Autumn Festival, Taiwanese people started having BBQ for celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival.
I heard that in Australia, people would put candle on mooncake like a birthday cake for celebration.

Majority of Indonesians don't celebrate mid-autumn festival, but people of Chinese/Korean origin do. Although, some cake stores here sell mooncakes for the occasion (although I'm pretty sure my friends who celebrate it have family recipe for mooncakes)

In Indonesia, mostly they look like the first picture, with words and decorative patterns around them.
Oh cool. Pomelo is also helpful for weight loss. 
What do the mooncakes taste like? They're not a thing in the US, or in Europe in my experience.

FeistyFeline: The taste depends on what kind of mooncake you have. I personally prefer the one has a yolk inside. This kind of mooncake would taste salty and sweet at the same time. (I have one as my breakfast this morning)

nineth9t: Since you said so, I try to find the ad, and it turns out that there are more than one ad to advertise BBQ sauce. Thus, Taiwanese people are effected by more than one ad.
