The debt counter is negligable. It would be impossible to pay off this debt if all of the US's funds both federal and state were pooled to

pay off our debt... That is if we didn't spend a single penny on any other expense for a long time.

Others countries are in debt way farther than the US and in fact I believe it is accurate to say that every country is in debt

This is possibly excluding the Vatican City and other such like countries.

Many countries owe the US tons of money. China owes these countries money. We owe China money. It is a giant web of disorderly investments

and countries spending money they don't have. The global economy just worked out this way.

Everyone owes everyone money. Everyone invests and spends what they don't have. Trade and foreign investments has made the

world interdependent
