I guess cause "when america is up, there's shootings at the classrooms". Something like that...

I mean there's 1.2 shootings a day in the US, but what I have read most of them are more shootings between drug dealers and street gangs, not so much shootings at malls or schools. So this "meme" is probably wrong.
