that happened to me last summer during a heat wave. luckily apartment maintenance decided to be incredibly nice and brought up a portable unit to use until they could get someone up to fix it
I am tempted to buy a unit and just give them the receipt along with a rental deduction
Oh glorious day! The maintenance people made a special trip because of the holiday, and it is repaired.
