Isn't she? She's very hungry, and very thin, but not too badly off. The neighbors kids say she's been around for days now, and they've been trying to keep her safe.

So I suppose I have a new cat.

Not yet. She just came inside, so I'll give her a bit of time to rest and get settled.

I don't feel a microchip, but I'll still have the vet check her and ask about any missing pets.
