Oh hey, an obvious trail of blood leading up to the press!
Yeah, if the press detects a living thing, the safety sensor stops it.
But a body that's already dead...
And then the culprit cut the power cord, so this must have taken place before Maki used the electro bomb.
"Wait, we don't know all the facts yet. We should investigate and--"
"Shuichi, you're being too irrational right now."
"...What."
And the crossbow's back. I highly doubt Kaito had it on him when he was brought here.
I'm guessing Maki brought the case with her and passed it to Kaito through the window, piece by piece. Then he reassembled it from there.
Or she just gave him the whole case at once.
Ooh, Keebo tried to talk to Kokichi, but didn't get any response. What if that's because he was already dead?
Was that before or after Kaito and Shuichi had their chat?
Hmm, it doesn't say, or if it does, then I'm missing it...
But it's starting to look suspicious on Kaito here... :<
And there was that line back in chapter... 2, I think? About how Shuichi hadn't yet realized how horrible it can be to trust somebody here.
Poisons and antidotes, huh? Looks like the poisons all have orange caps and the antidotes have blue caps.
The bottle Shuichi found in the bathroom had a blue cap, though.
...oh, ha ha. Strike-9 =strychnine
Night's Hate = nightshade
Harmlock = hemlock
Arsneak = arsenic
I'm guessing the blood on the label was to hide the "antidote" part.
Himiko was right! Kokichi is running around naked somewhere!
Oh, I just realized... the cord to the hydraulic press was cut, and Maki has a knife...
So before I move on to the trial, I want to go over the nagging plot details we still haven't fully addressed...
What changed the Ultimates' minds about going through with the Gofer Project?
What was up with Rantaro's video?
Related to that, what's with the "the killing game will continue until only two people are left" rule?
We saw the door to Rantaro's lab (supposedly), but we never saw inside Kokichi's lab, either.
What were those "tiny bugs" Gonta kept spotting?
Who left that last Flashback Light in the dining hall?
Kokichi claimed the meteors completely devastated the planet, wiping out all oxygen and life. (I... don't think that's how that works, buddy...)
But the Flashback Light indicated that the meteors hit Earth and spread some kind of space plague instead that just killed everyone.
Then why couldn't the kids breathe when they first saw what the outside world? (And why did that affect Keebo while we're at it?)
When everyone first remembered the "Gofer Project," they also remembered that it had failed for some reason.
But Kokichi and/or the Flashback Light suggested that as far as everyone should remember, the project was still ongoing before the killing game/memory loss shenanigans started...
Welp, I guess this story's still got a ways to go.
And a few more!
What exactly is the "little voice" in Keebo's head?
What happened to all the dead bodies?
Will Tsumugi ever do anything plot relevant? (I love you girl, but seriously)
Just remember that there's one more chapter after this!
