like, I knew there was a chance the viera and ronso would be gender locked. I didn't want it to be but considering all the hub-bub around it, I had to keep it as a possibility.

And me personally, I'm not outraged about it as much as I'm just disappointed.

I'm disappointed because I know close friends who really wanted to play the opposite gender of the viera and ronso.

I'm disappointed because square enix knew this was a terrible decision considering 1.0. They knew the backlash that they'd end up having to deal with.

I am interested to see the special character creation selections for the Hrothgar (need to get used to saying that instead of the Ronso although for the first world they're Ronso ) and the Viera.

It doesn't make up for the genderlock but I do want to see what they worked on

I also ended up with FF7 Midgar vibes with the upper plates and the lower plates of that one damn city in the First

With the high society up at the top while the "dredge" are rummaging through the garbage and other stuff down at the bottom

I am also somewhat disappointed with Dancer being a ranged dps. It makes sense, but I would have liked to see the dev team come up with an interesting way to make it a healer. That being said, since live letter is tomorrow, I'm hoping that they might mention a new healer they'll at least consider bringing to xiv

but that brings the classes to:

4 tanks

3 healers

4 melee dps

3 ranged dps

4 magic dps

(that's including blu for the magic dps)

but, the way I organized it, it aesthetically looks balanced.

Because really the healers we have now are good at what they do. There's only so many ways you can have a magic healer without it being too redundant. At least imo
