One of the most common questions we get asked is, What the heck is the LSL Bridge?

In brief, it's a one-script attachment made from a Library object that allows or enhances some of the viewer's features.

Our wiki page on it is here:

Among the features that run fully or partially on the Bridge are:

Flight assist — not as important as it was back when the flight height was much lower, but still helpful. And this part got a bunch of improvements in the latest release (see Change Log).

Script Count — can't be done without it.

Radar range — Without the bridge, your in-viewer radar's range is based on your draw distance. With the bridge, it doesn't have that limitation.

Movelock — Used for fixing yourself in one place if you're at risk of being pushed or jostled by another avatar. Requires the bridge to work.

There are some other features mentioned on the wiki page above.

Thanks for posting this. It clears up something that I had wondered about, since I found a "lost bridge" in my prim count on a parcel recently
