It has been a very long day and I am very drained.... physically and mentally.
Took my step dad to the hospital for shoulder replacement surgery this morning (got up at 4am) and today has been the first day I've basically been the sole adult responsible for my mom since the Alzheimer's really started impacting her.

I think we got through most of the responsibilities without too much going wrong.
I did catch her throwing away her multivitamin, but at least she took the rest of her pills
And she ate. And the surgery went well. So now we wait to see when he can come home.
I'm here until he can be back because she gets scared when he's not around.
